V-ATPases are highly conserved multi-subunit enzymes that maintain the distinct pH of
eukaryotic organelles. The integral membrane a-subunit is encoded by tissue and organelle
specific isoforms, and its cytosolic N-terminal domain (aNT) modulates organelle specific
