  • RTCB is the catalytic subunit of the metazoan tRNA ligase complex (tRNA-LC) that plays essential roles in tRNA biogenesis and unfolded protein response. The catalytic center of RTCB contains a conserved cysteine that is susceptible to metal ion-induced oxidative inactivation.
