THE SUMMARY OF SCIENTIFIC MASTER THESIS
Thesis theme:“To simulate the trajectory of Truck-semitrailer moving on the
curved line”

In recent years, there has been an increasing great amount of requirements
of ussing articulated vehicles, together with that, articulated vehicle accidents
have been increased significantly and caused serious consequence. One of the
reason is due to vehicle instability phenomena.
Nowadays, there has been not much researches on the dynamic of articulated
vehicles being reported popularly. Therefore, I choose the title as “To simulate
the trajectory of Truck-semitrailer moving on the curved line” which is to
distribute some ideas of vehicle dynamic fields and to serve the exploitation and
management of transports.
The thesis is divided into four chapters, the structure and content of which
are described: Chapter 1 (Introduction): This chapter is a general introduction to
the problems, which is relative with the subject of research and finally, brings a
purposes and assignments of the thesis. Chapter 2 (Basic of calculations):
setting up the vehicle modelling with suitable assumming, building the equations
of dynamics and kinetics. Chapter 3 (Simulation): This thesis has used Matlab-
Simulink 7.0 sorfware to simulate the trajectory and secure corridor of track-
semitrailer in two conditions as: conerring stability and conerring with controled
braking forces. Chapter 4: Conclusion and recommendations.
The thesis has solved clearly the initial assignments. The finally results
evaluate exactly the essence of subject and are suitable to some researchs ago,
from there to affirm the right of modelling and studying method.
